As technology continues to transform many industries around the world, Tom Weaver, CEO of Flyt, is leading change in the hospitality industry by championing and developing technology to improve efficiency, profitability and enhance the customer experience.
Carving a career in trend forecasting, Tom has worked in education, retail, leisure and the corporate sector, advising on what the future would look like for schools, universities, stores, theatres and workplaces. He lead the UK’s largest UK school redesign R&D project, and worked with leading Bricks and Mortar retailers reacting to the age of Amazon, supporting them in reinventing customer experiences using technology.
Tom turned his talent for looking ahead to the hospitality sector where he saw a clear opportunity to make a difference. He co-founded Flypay to revolutionise the experience of eating out and the company was recognised by Bloomberg as Business Innovators in 2016.
Now known as Flyt, the company enables hospitality operators to integrate new and existing technologies within one innovative streamlined platform, increasing efficiency through ordering, payment and boosting customer satisfaction. Flyt powers technology in over 3,000 locations across the UK and clients include technology providers like Just Eat, and major merchants like Mitchells & Butlers, PizzaExpress, Wahaca, Nando’s and KFC.
It was Tom’s first role that gave him the taste of running a business, elected President of an international cultural exchange charity at the age of 21. Today, he is a prolific speaker and campaigner for tech in the hospitality industry.
