Casa do Frango, inspired by the food of co-founder Marco’s heritage and upbringing in southern Portugal, opened in London Bridge in 2018 and received rave reviews for its authentic piri-piri chicken grilled over wood-charcoal. The premium casual concept soon opened more sites, including Shoreditch in 2019, Piccadilly in 2022 and Victoria in 2023. London-based MJMK Restaurants was founded by Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes. Following corporate careers, the duo ran an events and bar business, before pursuing their passion for food and drink. MJMK own and operate Portuguese Piri-Piri chicken restaurant Casa do Frango, Lisboeta with chef Nuno Mendes, as well as the Michelin-starred KOL with chef Santiago Lastra.
