Victor Lugger, originally from Strasbourg, France, co-founded Big Mamma Group with Tigrane Seydoux in 2013, aiming to share authentic Italian food in amazing places. He is also co-founder and CEO of payment app Sunday. In Paris, the Big Mamma family incorporates East Mamma, Ober Mamma, Mamma Primi, BigLove, Pink Mamma, Pizza Popolare, and La Felicitá in Station F, an Italian food hall with 1,500 covers, which attracted a crowd of 6,000 people on its first day of opening. While they opened La Bellezza, in Lille, in September 2018; and most recently, Carmelo in Lyon. In London they opened Gloria, in Shoreditch, in February 2019, followed by Circolo Popolare in Fitzrovia in June of the same year. The company’s most recent UK restaurant launch was Ave Mario, which opened in Covent Garden in July this year. Victor is married to Apolline Lugger and happy father of 2 (soon to be three!). He lives in London where he likes cooking, boxing, baroque music and an occasional swim in ponds during the winter.
