Drawing on the approach and experience of leading the team at Wagamama, Emma will address the importance of innovation to ensure the ongoing relevance and success of brands in the UK
Emma studied Experimental Psychology at Oxford and developed a passion for understanding how to change customer behaviour and doing this via innovation built on genuine customer insight. She is a classically-trained marketeer, having worked across the world for Unilever for 17 years. But the last 11 years have been in a variety of customer/brand leadership roles in multi-site leisure businesses closer to home.
She is CEO of Wagamama and an Independent Non Exec of The Gym Group PLC. Outside work, she has 4 very tech-savvy children. Subjects close to her heart are how to deliver brilliant customer service, motivating teams and businesses through purpose, and getting young women to think bigger about their careers.
